These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of cited.io and all Cited services. By creating an account or subscribing to any Cited plan, you agree to these Terms. Please read them carefully — we've written them in plain English.
Cited provides an AI-powered, automated GEO (Generative Engine Optimisation) service. Depending on your subscription plan, this includes:
The service operates fully autonomously — no human account managers or strategy calls are included in any plan. Deliverables are provided digitally via email and, where applicable, a web dashboard.

All prices shown on cited.io are exclusive of VAT. VAT is calculated and applied at checkout based on your country of residence or business registration.
VAT invoices are issued automatically by Stripe and available in your billing portal. You are responsible for your own local tax obligations.
You may cancel your subscription at any time by emailing hello@cited.io or via the self-serve billing portal (link in your welcome email). Cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing period. You will continue to receive deliverables until that date.
If you are an EU consumer, you have a 14-day right of withdrawal from the date of first payment, unless you have already received any deliverable (at which point the withdrawal right is waived by your prior request for immediate performance). To exercise this right, email hello@cited.io with subject "Withdrawal of service".
All content produced by the Cited agent specifically for your brand is yours. This includes:
You may publish, edit, and use these outputs however you wish. No attribution to Cited is required, though it is appreciated.
Outputs are generated by AI (Anthropic's Claude). You are responsible for reviewing content before publishing and for ensuring it complies with applicable laws and platform policies. Cited does not warrant that AI-generated content is factually accurate in all respects — you should verify any specific claims before publishing.
You agree not to use Cited to:
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms without refund.
The Cited Score™ is a proprietary metric calculated by Cited. It reflects our assessment of your brand's AI citation visibility at the time of measurement. It is not a guarantee of AI recommendation frequency, nor does it constitute professional advice.
Scores may vary month to month based on changes in AI platform behaviour, competitor activity, content landscape, and our methodology. We reserve the right to update our scoring methodology — if we make material changes, we will notify subscribers by email.
Cited Score™ is a registered trademark of Cited. Unauthorised commercial use of the Cited Score™ name or methodology is prohibited.
We target 99% monthly uptime for the Cited platform. Planned maintenance will be communicated by email at least 48 hours in advance. In the event of unexpected downtime affecting your monthly delivery, we will prioritise remediation and communicate proactively.
Cited is not responsible for disruptions caused by third-party services (AI platforms, Stripe, Netlify, email providers) or circumstances outside our reasonable control.
To the fullest extent permitted by law:
Nothing in these Terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, or any other liability that cannot be excluded by law.
We may update these Terms or our pricing at any time. For material changes:
Continued use of Cited after a change takes effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
These Terms are governed by the laws of Portugal. Any disputes arising from or relating to these Terms or your use of Cited will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Lisbon, Portugal, except where mandatory consumer protection laws in your country of residence provide otherwise.
If you are an EU consumer, you may also have the right to use the EU Online Dispute Resolution platform at ec.europa.eu/consumers/odr.
